Welcome to the international adoption community

Welcome to your interactive area of International Adoption Guide. Here you will be able to express your concerns, ask your questions and meet others on the adoption journey.

International Adoption Guide is for you.

It is for you to ask questions, express your concerns, debate your theories, meet other adopters, find out what you need to know and share your story.

You are not alone on your adoption adventure - there are some in the same position as you, some just beginning to think about it and other who have forged through the quagmire and returned with their family intact.

Here we bring you the knowledge and experiences of successful adopters from whom you can learn, the experts who can accurately answer your questions, and fellow adopters who you can lean on for support during the process.

I am completely convinced that I would have given up, if it were not for my fellow adopter Kathy, who was my adoption buddy.  When things got really tough she was there for me, and when she was feeling low, I was there for her. We kept each other's vision alive and urged each other on when times got unbelievably complicated. She was amazingly resourceful and also helped me enormously on a practical level. We were friends before we physically met.  We first met for coffee when we were both on the homestudy - she came back with her daughter 11 months before I became a mom, and our kids now are the best of friends.

I cannot over emphasis the need for support!!

Inter-country adoption is so complex with so many subtle permutations, that it is quite easy to get lost. But by joining the community you will always find someone who will help and guide you be it something practical or emotional, mental or moral.

We have made it easy for you to speak and express yourself in the safe and secure forum and we will be bringing webinars and audio discussions. Please join in and contribute to this lively forum. The more involved you are the more your will get out of it and the more others will learn.

Any questions? Just ask!!
